Estes Park Shuttle Service

TIME It's good to allow approx. four hours to get to the airport. Allow two hours driving time, and two hours check in at the airline counter, security check and taking the shuttle to the departure gate. Travelling during a Holiday or when the "security level" is high may cause more delays. Most airlines make you check in 45 to 60 min. before the flight time.

Large private groups may be accommodated with extra pick up times from those listed above, or discounts. Please inquire.
Door to Door Service *may* include an Additional Charge (this changes from year to year); we will send you a copy of a map to our Retreat; mention to the driver that to the Reservation Clerk and to the Driver that you are going to PINEWOOD SPRINGS (132 Choctaw Rd.) when you make a reservation, and give them our phone number 303-823-0997. Drivers see 100s of clients and cannot remember all the business names (Rocky Mt. Retreats).

Call them direct with your questions; we are only providing this basic outline as a service to our clients. We have found it too difficult to keep up with their changing schedule.

LOCAL Tours/Limo/Taxi Service

LOCAL TAXI service "Park Taxi" 970-577-TAXI (8294) 24 hour/7 day service. May be slower to get service in town than in big cities. Also airport transport but more expensive than above. But, you may need them if you are taking an odd hour flight. Best rates are for 2 to 7 people to airport. No reschedule or cancellation fees. No advance payment required.

Local service between Estes Park, Allenspark, Dake, Glen Haven and Lyons.

Downtown Denver and Other City Shuttles: Shuttle to and from DIA/Amtrack/Greyhound Bus Station/Downtown Hotels.
Take the blue Super Shuttle van to downtown Denver hotels and airport hotels for about $11/ea.way, (or ask your hotel about transportation; some more expensive chain-hotels have free buses) if you are extending your stay in Colorado.

Important Notes for Rocky Mt. Retreats participants:

• All prices and times are subject to change.
• Plan to take 1 hour from plane landing, to intra-airport train/shuttle, to luggage area, to collecting luggage, to catching the van shuttle.
• Catch shuttle vans on East Terminal, level 5 at door 511", island 2
• When departing, add an extra hour for Security Check at airport. Note, if you arrive less than one full hour before your flight, you will be bumped from your flight. We advise you to consider curb-side check in to avoid waiting in counter line; but they also require 45 min. to 60 minutes leeway.
• Within the airport, there is a shuttle train, that takes you to the different departure gates. Add extra time for going this distance from the front counter/or sky cap to your gate.
• Add about 15 to 30 minutes for pick up and drop off at Rocky Mt. Retreats. (located 12 miles before Estes Park). For example, the van leaving Estes Park at 6 am will reach Rocky Mt. Retreats at 6:15 am (unless they pick up other people, then it could be 6:30 am).
• Add 1 hr. to your time for Security Check-in. It currently takes 15 to 45 minutes. Holidays take much longer.
• These are the only shuttles that come out to this area. The other shuttles will not take you here. This is why you should phone and reserve a pick up. ---If you cannot schedule a plane to meet their times, you should rent a car. (If you want to see the area independently, you should rent a car)
• CAR RENTALS: The cheapest car rental is about $25/day ($17 a day with about $8 in taxes); pick up at airport. A local car rental service is $49/59 a day and they will pick you up at the Rocky Mt. Retreats door.
• Maps: If you are driving (your car, or a rental car), we will provide you with maps. If you forget your map, you can check at the Lyons Tourist Office (9am to 5pm; shorter hours in the winter months) if you can call us from there. Mention our director, Kathleen Spring. NOTE: your cell phones will NOT work in the mountains!
• Shuttle service offices have daytime hours only.
• PLEASE BE KIND and BE SURE TO TIP. Some drivers will entertain you during this long drive; feel free to ask any questions about the area. As stated above, the tips should be based on number of bags, and "more" if great service.
